Weekend Jackpot Updates 12/4-12/5

Dec 07, 15 Weekend Jackpot Updates 12/4-12/5

Dec. 7, 2015 — Happy Monday lottery players!  Both the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots rolled over last weekend, creating quite the jackpot for Powerball and making the Mega Millions jackpot even more attractive as well.

No one was able to match all six numbers for Powerball’s grand prize, which bumped the jackpot up to a whopping $145 million dollars! There were however three states that had a winner in each for a million dollars and those states were: Connecticut, Florida and New York! Apart from the second tier winners, more than seven hundred thousand Powerball players took home prizes, together winning a total of almost $8.2 million in non-jackpot prize money.

Mega Millions’ top prize continued growing after Friday’s drawing failed to produce a jackpot winner.  Looking ahead, the new jackpot has an estimated annuity value of $57 million, and carries with it a $34 million cash option.

While there were no jackpot winners, lots of players were lucky enough to take home non-jackpot prizes this weekend.

Friday’s Mega Millions drawing also made two new millionaires; two ticket purchased in New Jersey matched the five white numbers to win the $1 million second prize.  Along with that winner there were almost 1.2 million more players who were able to match a winning combination of numbers.

Congratulations to all of this weekend’s winners.  Powerball and Mega Millions continue this week, starting Tuesday (December. 8, 2015) with Mega Millions. Remember – you can’t win if you don’t play!
