W. Va. Holiday Collect and Win Promotion

Nov. 14, 2013 – For the next month, West Virginia Lottery players can join in on a special promotion that will give away more than $100,000 in cash and shopping gift cards, perfect prizes to win just before the holidays.

The contest has already begun, but don’t worry – there are five drawings, and players still have two days to enter into the first one.

To join in the contest, players must first purchase tickets for Daily 3, Daily 4, Cash 25, or Travel Keno.  A 19-digit code will be printed on each ticket, which players can enter on the Holiday Collect and Win website.

The Lottery has also developed a mobile app for iOS and Android, which will allow players to scan the barcode printed on their tickets to enter.

Once players have entered their codes or scanned their ticket, they’ll receive one of six holiday symbols to play on a “digital game card”.  To qualify for an entry into one of the drawings, players must collect all six symbols on one of their digital game cards.

Holiday symbols are randomly generated once a ticket code is entered, so it may take a few tries to collect all six.  Once a game card has all six symbols, players can enter into a drawing.

In each of the first four drawings, there will be one winner of a $3,000 cash prize, three $1,000 winners, and 20 winners who will receive $500 SuperCertificate Gift Cards from GiftCards.com.  SuperCertificates never expire, and can be redeemed for gift cards to hundreds of stores.

In the fifth and final drawing, which will be held Dec. 16, one lucky winner will win an incredible holiday present: $25,000!  Then, just like the other four drawings, one winner will win $3,000, three $1,000 prizes will be awarded, and 20 $500 SuperCertificates will be given away.

The first drawing will be held this coming Monday.  The entry period closes this Saturday, Nov. 16, so players should hurry out to get Daily 3, Daily 4, Cash 25, or Travel Keno tickets if they want to be the “early birds” in the very first Holiday Collect and Win drawing.
