Oct 10, 13 Virgin Islands Lottery Teams Up With American Cancer Society

Oct. 10, 2013 – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Virgin Islands Lottery is joining the fight against breast cancer with the American Cancer Society (ACS).

On October 17, the Lottery and the Cancer Society will join in a fundraising effort across St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas. ¬†The Lottery will be selling tickets to raise money, and players who buy a full sheet of tickets will receive a free “Pink” awareness gift bag.

Players can find the Lottery and the ACS at Post Office Square on St. Thomas, Sunny Isle Shopping Center on St. Croix and Franklin Powell Park at Cruz Bay on St. John.

Local business owners have also joined in the effort to raise awareness. ¬†Along with the “Pink” awareness gift bag, Virgin Islands lottery players who purchase a full sheet of tickets will also receive a coupon for a special discount at participating stores.

The stores that will be participating will decorate their shops with pink balloons or ribbons, so it should be easy to find your way to good deals, all the while supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.
