Nov. 21, 2013 – California’s SuperLotto Plus just got a whole lot “super-er”. The California Lottery announced Wednesday that SuperLotto Plus tickets will now include entry codes for weekly second-chance drawings.
And they’re not just taking non-winning tickets. According to a Lottery advertisement released on YouTube, winning tickets will also be eligible for entry in the SuperLotto second chance drawings.
Each week, five lucky SuperLotto Plus players will win $15,000 from the second-chance drawings, even if they’ve already won on the regularly scheduled Wednesday and Saturday evening drawings.
Players can enter into the second-chance drawings using a code printed on the bottom of every SuperLotto Plus ticket.
For every $1 spent on SuperLotto Plus tickets, players will get one entry into the second chance drawing. Single tickets with multiple plays or advance plays will still only have one code, but when players enter that code online, it will reflect one entry for every $1 spent.
Players must be registered with the California Lottery’s membership program to enter their SuperLotto Plus tickets online. The process is simple and free, the Lottery requests some basic personal information to verify that players are of legal age and live in the state.
SuperLotto Plus tickets cannot be mailed in for entry into the weekly drawings, and while players can enter into a drawing as many times as they’d like, there is a 1,000 entry per month limit for all of the California Lottery’s second chance offerings.
Players can find more information, including frequently asked questions and complete game rules on the California Lottery’s SuperLotto Plus second chance webpage.
