SuperLotto Plus “Grand Opening” Draw Next Week

March 10, 2014 – The California Lottery’s “Grand Opening” second-chance promotion is drawing to a close.  The promotion helped SuperLotto Plus fans ring in the New Year with an extra chance to win big playing SuperLotto Plus.

The Lottery began accepting entries into their Grand Opening second chance promotion Jan. 3, and in one week, on St. Patrick’s Day, the Grand Opening drawing will decide the winner of one grand prize worth $500,000.

The drawing will also name four first-prize winners who will each receive $25,000 prizes.

The Grand Opening promotion is an extra second chance for players who are already taking advantage of the weekly SuperLotto second-chance drawings the Lottery began conducting late in November.

Players who enter the codes from their non-winning SuperLotto Plus tickets into the weekly drawing will automatically be entered into the Grand Opening draw for their chance at half a million bucks.

And while the big prizes offered in the Grand Opening promotion are eye-catching, players can win big in the weekly drawings as well.

Each week the Lottery names five winners for the SuperLotto second chance prizes, and each prize is worth $15,000.

To enter into the weekly Second Chance drawing – and automatically entered into the Grand Opening drawing – players must sign in or register with the California Lottery’s player loyalty program.

Players receive one entry into the weekly drawing for every $1 played on a SuperLotto Plus ticket.  Each ticket prints with a unique code on the bottom; tickets with multiple plays will still have just one code – it will still be worth 1 entry per $1.

Players can enter their codes through the SuperLotto Plus second chance webpage.  The entry deadline for the Grand Opening drawing will be 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time next Monday, March 17.
