Jan. 20, 2014 – The Seattle Seahawks are headed to Super Bowl XLVII – New Jersey bound – and the Washington Lottery wants to help one lucky fan and a guest get tickets to the historic event.
The Lottery is accepting mail-in entries for their New Jersey Bound promotion, which began today after the Seahawks bested the San Francisco 49ers in Sunday’s NFC championship game, securing their spot in the Super Bowl.
To enter, players must purchase a $10 Lotto ticket at their local Safeway stores, either for the drawing tonight or the drawing Wednesday night.
With the purchase of an eligible, $10 Lotto ticket, players will receive a voucher they can mail into the Lottery’s Olympia office; the voucher must be received by Saturday, Jan. 25 for players to be entered into the New Jersey Bound drawing.
Twenty-five winners will be named next Monday, Jan. 27, in the drawing. 12 winners will receive a $200 gift card to the Seattle Seahawks Pro Shop, and another 12 winners will get $500 gift cards to the Pro Shop.
Just one lucky grand prize winner will score themselves two tickets to the big game Feb. 2. The grand prize package includes airfare from Washington to New Jersey, as well as a hotel stay and a $500 Visa gift card.
Players can find the Lottery’s mailing address on the New Jersey Bound webpage along with specific instructions for the promotion.
And, while everyone would love to win free tickets to the historic Super Bowl – the first being played outdoors in cold weather – winning with Lotto could get you there too.
The current Lotto jackpot is worth $6.8 million. That’s probably plenty of money to persuade some football fans to watch the game from home this year.
