Second Chances At Vermont’s Best Prizes
Jan. 20, 2014 – The Vermont Lottery offers plenty of chances for their players to win awesome prizes on their instant and draw games, but not every player knows that taking a second chance on a game could score them unbelievable prizes.
One of the most incredible promotions the Lottery is offering right now is the Powerball Ultimate Tailgate promotion. Along with 17 other states, Vermont will send a couple lucky winners to Cleveland, Ohio this year for the chance to meet 100 Pro Football Hall of Famers, and even eat dinner and enjoy some friendly tailgate competition with the football greats.
The Lottery has been accepting entries for the Ultimate Tailgate promotion for months, but players still have almost three full weeks to get their entries in.
To enter, players need to purchase $10 or more on a single Powerball ticket – five normal Powerball plays. Then, players must log in or register for the Vermont Lottery’s free Play it Again website, where they can enter their tickets into the promotion.
Just two lucky Powerball players from Vermont will win tickets to Cleveland for the Ultimate Tailgate Party. Along with the five-day trip to Cleveland, contest winners will also have a chance to win up to $1 million.
If football isn’t your thing, you can make your own adventure if you win a Ford Fusion or Escape on the Vermont Lottery’s “Ticket to Ride” scratch-off or the second chance promotion for non-winning tickets in the game.
Just fewer than half of the scratch-off tickets have been sold, so the Vermont Lottery has not yet announced the entry deadline or drawing date for the Ticket to Ride second chance promotion.
Players can enter non-winning tickets into the second chance promotion, and still have a chance to win one of the new cars instantly, and 11 second prizes worth $1,000 remain, as well as 20, $500 prizes.
On top of those two great promotions for Vermont Lottery players, most of the Lottery’s scratch-off tickets have their very own second chance drawings, in which players who enter non-winning tickets can win the top prize they missed the first time around.
For example, the Lottery’s newest game, themed after the popular cartoon Family Guy, offers players a top prize of $5,000. Players who enter their non-winning tickets into the Family Guy second chance drawing could win that $5,000 prize in the Play it Again drawing.
And just to make sure players have every opportunity to turn a non-winning ticket into cash, the Lottery holds a second chance drawing once every three months, drawing winners from the pool of all tickets entered into the Play it Again website.
In each of these quarterly drawings, the Lottery awards dozens of players with cash or other prizes. The first of this year’s quarterly drawings is just a few short months away, on March 12.
Registering with the Lottery’s Play it Again website is totally free, and could mean some awesome second-chance benefits. Remember – even when it comes to taking that second chance – you can’t win if you don’t play.
