Saturday’s Powerball Jackpot Sits at $60 Million

Jan 2, 2014 – Nobody matched all six winning Powerball numbers in Wednesday’s drawing, so the jackpot continued its climb, reaching $60 million ahead of Saturday’s drawing.

The numbers drawn Wednesday were 15, 24, 40, 48, 52 and the red Powerball was 23.  More than 399,000 Powerball players matched one of nine winning combinations of those numbers, collectively winning almost $2.8 million in prize money.

There were no tickets sold for Wednesday’s drawing that matched all five white balls drawn for the $1 million second prize.

Twenty-two Powerball players matched four of the white balls and the red Powerball to win third prizes.  Eighteen of those prizes are worth $10,000, while four of the third-prize winners will receive $40,000 for adding the PowerPlay multiplier to their tickets.

Saturday’s drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. EST, and the $60 million jackpot has a cash option of $33.2 million.  Don’t forget to pick up your tickets before sales close Saturday night – you can’t win if you don’t play.

Powerball fans can watch every drawing live right from their smartphones, plus store and save their Powerball numbers using LotteryHUB’s free mobile app for iOSAndroid, and Windows Phone.
