Saturday Jackpot News Around the World

Jun 22, 13 Saturday Jackpot News Around the World

June 22, 2013 – There’s big money to be won with Powerball tonight.  The estimated jackpot sits at $127 million ahead of tonight’s drawing, the last jackpot chance for the weekend.

Remember to get your tickets if you think all that money belongs in your bank account!  Most states let you purchase tickets up to an hour ahead of the midnight Powerball drawings, check your state lottery website for their rules.

Don’t expect to be home by midnight on the first Saturday of summer?  LotteryHUB has you covered – download our free app for Apple iOS or Android and you can watch live drawings in the palm of your hand.

Mega Millions survived its Friday night drawing, rolling over to $52 million ahead of the next drawing, to be held Tuesday night at 11 pm Eastern Time.

The Euromillions jackpot made it past its Friday drawing as well, inching ever closer to a record-high jackpot.

After rolling over seven times, the estimated jackpot ahead of  Tuesday’s Euromillions drawing sits at £157 million, only £4 million short of the record £161 million jackpot won in July 2011.

That record ran up against the Euromillions Jackpot Cap, which was then set at €185 million, and rose to €190 million after the win.

Euromillions officials recognized that players were somewhat confused by the growing jackpot cap, and in 2012 set it at €190 million for good – about equal to £161,833,000 or $249,659,700.

So if nobody in the 13 countries that play Euromillions wins the £157 million jackpot Tuesday, it will roll over and hit the cap, a few hundred thousand pounds higher than the standing Euromillions record.

To everyone hoping for a big check around the globe, good luck in the drawings tonight and Tuesday, and check back for winner news, jackpot updates, and more here on LotteryHUB news.
