Saturday’s record $600 million Powerball jackpot caused a lottery frenzy with the winning ticket sold in Florida.
Lottery officials have confirmed that a Powerball ticket with all the winning numbers was sold in Florida. The winning ticket was sold at a Publix supermarket in suburban Zephyrhills, FL. This winner marks the sixth Powerball jackpot winner for Florida, and the winner of the largest Powerball jackpot on record.
Florida was the state to play for this last drawing, producing more of the winners than any other state. However, the jackpot winner has yet to come forward to claim their prize.
Saturday’s drawing had a total of 33 $1 million Match 5 winners and two $2 million Match 5 with Power Play winners. The $2 million winners are from New York and South Carolina. The 33 $1 million are from 17 different states.
The current Powerball jackpot is reset to $40 million. So how high will this jackpot rise? And how big will it get before the jackpot is won?
