Oct. 31, 2013 – The Powerball jackpot did not fall on Wednesday night, so the top prize rolled over from $50 million to sit at $60 million ahead of Saturday’s drawing.
The numbers drawn Wednesday were 2, 36, 40, 49, 54, and the red Powerball was 10.
Just one ticket was able to match all five white balls drawn Wednesday, and that $1 million winning ticket was sold in North Carolina. Had that player added the $1 PowerPlay option to their ticket, their second-tier prize would have doubled, making them an instant multi-millionaire.
Two tickets matching four white balls and the Powerball were sold with the PowerPlay option, so those two third-prize winners will receive $40,000 prizes. 11 other third-prize winners can expect checks written out for $10,000
Overall, Wednesday’s Powerball drawing made more than 435,000 winners. The total payout for Wednesday night is more than $3.8 million in prizes.
Don’t forget to pick up your tickets before sales close ahead of Saturday’s drawing for a $60 million jackpot.
