Nov. 25, 2013 – Nobody was able to match all six numbers drawn in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, so the recently-reset jackpot prize rolled over for a second time to sit at $60 million ahead of Wednesday’s drawing.
The numbers drawn Saturday night were 5, 12, 43, 52, 55 and the red Powerball was 10. Although nobody had a lucky ticket matching all six of those numbers, there was one winner in Illinois who scored a $1 million second prize for matching all five white balls drawn.
That winning ticket could have been worth $2 million had that player decided to spend an extra $1 on the PowerPlay option, which doubles Powerball’s $1 million second prizes.
PowerPlay multiples the game’s third prizes by four, and three lucky players who chose to add the PowerPlay option to their third-prize winning tickets will see $40,000, rather than the regular $10,000, thanks to their extra $1.
In total, about 460,000 winning tickets were sold for Saturday’s drawing, which together won more than $4.1 million in prizes.
The next Powerball drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. EST, and will feature the estimated $60 million jackpot, which currently has a cash value of $33.5 million.
