March 9, 2014 – The Powerball jackpot grew to an estimated $60 million, with a $34 million cash value, after nobody matched the six winning numbers in Saturday night’s drawing.
The winning numbers were 10, 14, 24, 32, 41 and the red Powerball was 30. The Power Play multiplier drawn Saturday night was 2x, so players who had added the Power Play option to their winning tickets will receive twice the normal prize value.
There were five new millionaires made Saturday night. Two of the winners, from Indiana and New Jersey, will each receive $2 million because they added the Power Play multiplier to their tickets.
The other three second-prize winners – one each from Florida, New York and Pennsylvania – each won Powerball’s normal $1 million second prize for matching all five white numbers.
Fifteen Powerball players won a third prize in Saturday night’s drawing, including four who chose to add the Power Play. Those four will take home $20,000 third prizes, and the 11 other third-prize winners won the normal $10,000 prize.
Overall there were nearly 450,000 winners Saturday night who collectively won more than $9.6 million in non-jackpot prizes. Just over 77,000 winners chose to add the Power Play option to their tickets, together accounting for about half of all the prize money won Saturday night.
Wednesday night’s drawing will be held at 11 p.m. EDT, and players can watch the numbers drawn live, right on their smartphones with the free LotteryHUB mobile app.
iOS and Android users can track their tickets by saving their numbers into the app. Once the numbers are drawn, LotteryHUB will check your tickets for you and send you an email if it looks like you’re a winner.
