Powerball Jackpot Won in Tenn

Nov. 5, 2015 – Some lucky person in Tennessee was able to match all six numbers in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, so the jackpot prize was reset down to $40 million for Saturday night’s drawing.

The winning  Powerball numbers were 2, 12, 17, 20, 65 and the Powerball was 17  The Power Play multiplier drawn Wednesday was 4x, so winning tickets with the Power Play option  added are worth four times their normal prize value.

In addition to the jackpot being won, one ticket sold in Wyoming matched all five white numbers Wednesday night. That ticket is worth a million dollars before taxes.

Seventeen players matched four of the white balls and the Powerball to win third prizes Wednesday night, and two of those players won with the Power Play option added.  Those two winners will each receive $40,000 prizes while the other 15 third prize winners will receive the normal $10,000 prize.

Overall, more than 660,000 Powerball players became winners Friday night, scoring more than $7 million in prize money.

The next drawing will be held Saturday night at 10 p.m., and the estimated $40 million annuity jackpot carries with it a $24.9 million cash value.
