Powerball jackpot won in South Carolina

After 11 drawings without a winner, the Powerball jackpot was won in Lexington, South Carolina for the $400 million drawing on Sept. 18.

The numbers drawn last night were 7,10,22,32,35, and the red Powerball was 19. Last night’s jackpot was set at $400 million and was won on a single ticket.

In addition to the lucky $400 million winner, six lucky Powerball players managed to $1 million with Match 5. Those tickets were sold in California, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. There were also two $2 million winners from Florida and Pennsylvania who won with Match 5 with Power Play. All of these winners were able to match the five white balls but not the red Power ball.

In total, last night’s drawing had 2,914,310 winners and awarded $34,226,600 in non-jackpot prizes.

The jackpot winner has yet to come forward. According to South Carolina legislation, the winner has the option to remain anonymous if they wish. South Carolina is one of seven states that allow for winner anonymity.

The next Powerball drawing will be Saturday Sept. 21 at 11:00pm EST.
