Aug 01, 13 Powerball jackpot unclaimed and rising fast to $290 million

The Powerball jackpot remained unclaimed after last night’s drawing, and rises to $290 million for the estimated jackpot.

After almost two months without a winner, the Powerball jackpot continues to grow, as it reaches $290 million. Last night’s drawing boasted a $235 million jackpot, and drew in players hoping to win the growing jackpot.

Wednesday’s drawing did not bring any jackpot winners, but there are 5 new millionaires who won $1 million from Match 5. They are from California, Connecticut, Florida, New York and Pennsylvania respectively. There were two Match 5 with Power Play winners from Oklahoma and Oregon. They will each receive $2 million. All these players were able to match the five white balls, but were unable to pick the correct red Power Ball.

In total, wednesday’s drawing had a total of 1,322,123 non-jackpot winners. All the winners won a combined total of $17,397,327.

The next Powerball drawing for the $290 million jackpot will take place on Saturday August 3 at 11:00pm EST. The drawing will be broadcast live from Florida. To watch the drawing live from your smartphone, download the free LotteryHUB app for Android or iPhone.
