Dec. 30, 2013 – No Powerball players were able to match all six numbers drawn Saturday, December 28, meaning the jackpot once again rolled over.
Ahead of Wednesday night’s drawing, the estimated Powerball jackpot sits at $50 million, with a cash value of $27.7 million. Saturday’s numbers were 8, 35, 44, 51, 56, and the red Powerball was 18.
Three lucky players, two from Massachusetts and one from North Carolina were able to match all five white balls drawn Saturday night, scoring one of the game’s second-tier prizes, worth $1 million. One player from Massachusetts added the Power Play option to their ticket, and took home $2 million.
Along with the second-tier winners, 18 Powerball players across the country managed to match four of the white balls along with the red Powerball.
Fifteen of those players can claim a $10,000 third-tier prize, while three players chose to add the PowerPlay option to their tickets for an extra $1, and have won $40,000 PowerPlay prizes.
In all, Saturday’s Powerball drawing made 411,603 winners, who collectively raked in more than $6.79 million.
