Powerball Jackpot Rolls Past $150 Million

Oct. 13, 2013 – Nobody matched all six Powerball numbers drawn Saturday, so the jackpot rolled over from $133 million to $156 million, where it sits ahead of Wednesday’s draw.

Saturday night’s numbers were 8, 10, 26, 57, 58, and the red Powerball, 4.  While nobody matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, two tickets were sold matching all five white balls drawn.

Those two $1 million winning tickets were sold in Washington and California.  California’s lottery pays prizes on a pari-mutuel basis, so the second-prize winner there will receive a prize worth $858,848.

There were 20 third-prize winners Saturday, whose tickets matched four of the white balls and the red Powerball.  19 of those players will receive normal $10,000 third prizes, while one player who added the PowerPlay option to their ticket has won a $40,000 third prize.

Altogether more than 692,000 lucky Powerball players won more than$6.3 million in prize money Saturday.
