Powerball Jackpot Rolls to $60 Million

Dec. 19, 2013 – Nobody was able to match all six numbers drawn in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, so the jackpot rolled over for a second time since two winners split a jackpot last week..  The prize sits at $60 million ahead of Saturday night’s drawing.

The winning Powerball numbers drawn Wednesday were 7, 24, 37, 39, 40 and the red Powerball was 1.  Nearly half a million players were able to match a winning combination of those numbers.  In all, more than $3.3 million in prize money was won Wednesday night.

None of those winners were lucky enough to match all five white balls drawn, meaning no new millionaires were made Wednesday night.

Twenty-six players matched Wednesday night’s Powerball number, but missed just one of the five white balls drawn.  22 of those winners will receive $10,000 third prizes, while four others scored themselves $40,000 third prizes by adding the PowerPlay option to their tickets.

Saturday night’s Powerball drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. EST.  The $60 million carries with it a cash value of $33.3 million.

Powerball players and fans can catch every drawing live, right on their smartphone with the LotteryHUB mobile app, free for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

The LotteryHUB app is the only way to live-stream Powerball drawings on a mobile device.  It is also the most convenient source for winning numbers, state lottery news, exclusive video content, and is the home of LotteryHUB Rewards.
