The Powerball jackpot has gone 12 drawings without a winner, and climbs to an astounding $400 million for the drawing on August 7.
The jackpot keeps climbing, passing the $300 million mark for Saturday’s drawing, and going up to $400 million for the drawing on Wednesday. The jackpot has gone more than one month without a winner. The last winner to claim the Powerball jackpot was on June 22 for the $131.5 million jackpot.
Saturday’s drawing did produce 8 new millionaires. Five people from California, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Washington won $1 million with Match 5. Additionally, 2 people from Florida and Texas won $2 million through Match 5 with Power Play. All of these winners were able to match the 5 white balls drawn, but failed to match the red Power Ball.
In total, Saturday’s drawing produced 1,807,981 winners who won a combined total of $22,477,880.
The next Powerball drawing for the $400 million jackpot will be Wednesday August 7 at 11:00pm EST.
