Jackpot Rolls Over:
Dec. 31, 2015 – Nobody was able to match all six numbers in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, so the jackpot prize rolled over again, reaching an incredible estimated value of $202 million for Saturday night’s drawing.
The winning Powerball numbers were 12, 36, 38, 54, 61 and the Powerball was 22. The Power Play Multiplier drawn Wednesday was 3x, so winning tickets with the Power Play option added are worth three times their normal prize value.
While nobody was able to win the jackpot, two tickets sold in California and Pennsylvania matched all five white numbers for a million dollars each Wednesday night.
Thirty-six players matched four of the white balls and the Powerball to win third prizes Wednesday night, and five of those players won with Power Play. The Powerplayer will receive a $30,000 prize while the other thirty-one third prizewinners will receive the normal $10,000 prize.
Overall, more than 1.5 million Powerball players became winners Wednesday night, scoring more than $13.5 million in prize money.
The next drawing will be held Saturday night at 11 p.m., and the estimated $334 million annuity jackpot carries with it a $205 million cash value.
