Powerball Jackpot Grows to $110 Million

Aug. 27, 2015 — The Powerball jackpot rolled over Wednesday, reaching an estimated $110 million, after nobody matched all six winning numbers.  For Saturday’s drawing, the annuity jackpot carries with it a cash value worth more than $71 million.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 2, 22, 32 45, 56 and the Powerball was 12.  The Power Play multiplier was 5x, so players who added Power Play to their tickets and won third or lower prizes will receive five times the normal value of their prize.

While nobody was able to win the jackpot, two players were lucky enough to become millionaires Wednesday night.  The two new millionaires bought their tickets in Arkansas and Pennsylvania, each matching the first five numbers but missing the Power Ball.

Twenty-one others – including five who added Power Play to their tickets – matched five of the six numbers drawn Wednesday.  These winners each matched four white numbers and the Power Ball to win third prizes.  The five Power Play winners will each receive $50,000.  The other 16 winners each won the normal $10,000 third prize.

In all there were more than 466,000 winners Wednesday night.  Together they took home an impressive $6.2 million in non-jackpot winnings, including more than $2.3 million won with Power Play.

But the jackpot keeps rolling!  For your chance to win Powerball’s coveted top prize, be sure to buy your tickets before sales close ahead of Saturday’s drawing
