Powerball Jackpot Climbs Past $200 Million

July 28, 2013 – There were no tickets sold for Saturday night’s drawing that matched all six numbers drawn, meaning the jackpot rolled over to sit at $235 million ahead of Wednesday night’s drawing.

While nobody was able to match all six numbers, there were four tickets sold which matched the five white balls, 9, 23, 40, 53, and 58.  The Powerball drawn last night was 6.

Those four second-prize winning tickets are each worth $1 million, and were sold in South Carolina, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Kansas.

None of the players chose to add the Power Play option to their tickets, which costs an extra $1 and doubles any prize amount won.

In all, Saturday’s drawing made 999,218 winners, collectively raking in more than $10 million – $10,387,478 to be exact.

Wednesday night’s drawing for the estimated $235 million jackpot will be held at about 11:00 P.M. EST.  You can watch the drawing live on your smartphone by downloading the free LotteryHUB app for iPhone or the updated app for Android.
