Powerball jackpot approaches $200 million
After no one won the Powerball jackpot on Wednesday’s drawing, it increase to $196 million for the drawing on Saturday July 27.
The Powerball jackpot is continuing its climb after going more than one month without a jackpot winner. Wednesday’s drawing boasted an estimated jackpot worth $166 million that could be paid to the winner over a period of 29 years, or a cash value for a one time payment.
Wednesday’s drawing had one person from Pennsylvania who won $2 million with Match 5 with Power Play. There were also 4 winners who will receive $1 million for Match 5. They are from Idaho, Missouri, New JErsey and Tennessee. These winners were able to match the 5 white balls drawn but unable to match the Power Ball.
There were a total of 833,828 non-jackpot winners from Wednesday’s drawing, winning a total of $12,277,204.
The next Powerball drawing for the $196 million jackpot will be Saturday July 27 at 11:00pm EST.
