Most Popular Pets Make For Cute Scratch-offs

Nov. 21, 2013 – In July and early August, Washington Lottery players said “awww” a lot – and then voted for the cutest cats and dogs entered into the Lottery’s Cats vs. Dogs contest.

Six winners out of more than 1,300 furry friends were chosen to become Washington’s Lottery’s newest stars, and today the Lottery released its new line of scratch-offs featuring the now-famous pets.

The new $2 tickets offer players a chance to win up to $20,000 by matching your numbers to winning numbers.  There are three tickets featuring cats, and three featuring dogs.

Among the famous featured pets is Trouser, whose middle name, according to the contest website, is "Britches". Look for the Cats vs. Dogs scratch-offs in Lottery retailers starting today.

On tickets featuring the famous felines Mooch, Bobby, and Sir Bentley Royce, uncovering a bowl means an instant win, and a fish bone symbol tells players they’ve won twice that prize value instantly.

Similarly, a dog bowl on the tickets with Washington’s celebrity canines – Koda Cash, Trouser, and Madeline Margaret – signals an instant win. ¬†Players will know they’ve won a doubled instant prize when they uncover a dog bone.

Players can check out all six tickets on the Lottery’s scratch webpage, and see the photos that won each pet their place in Lottery history on the Cats vs. Dogs promotion page.
