March 10, 2014 – The Florida Lottery wrote a lot of big checks Friday after three players arrived at the Lottery’s office with winning scratch-off tickets from three different games, each one worth $1 million.
One winner from Savannah, Ga., 33-year-old Heriberto Fernandez, won his $1 million prize playing the Lottery’s $10 “Monopoly Millionaire” game. According to a Lottery press release, Fernandez chose an annuity option for his prize, which will pay $50,000 each year for 20 years.
Jacyn Hall, 34, of Jacksonville also chose to receive his $1 million prize as an annuity payment. Hall will receive $40,000 for the next 25 years. He won his $1 million prize playing the Florida Lottery’s $10 “50X The Cash” scratch-off game.
The third winner to claim a $1 million prize Friday was 66-year-old Thomas Seiffert of Orlando, who chose a one-time lump sum payment for the $1 million prize he won playing “100X The Cash”, a $25 game. Before taxes are withheld, Seiffert will receive $691,892.43.
Each of the three retailers where these lucky winners picked up their tickets will receive $2,000 commissions for selling the big winners.
Each of the games that made the three men millionaires still have plenty of top prizes available. In fact, the Florida Lottery recently re-stocked their supply of the Cash Multiplier family of scratch-offs.
There are 12 of 16 top prizes left on the new 50X The Cash ticket, and one of the $1 million prizes remains on the same tickets from an earlier release. The new 50x The Cash game is number 1224 and the game released earlier is number 1162.
The 100X The Cash tickets, also in the Cash Multiplier family of scratch-offs, still has two of the original four top prizes, each worth $5 million. There are also 16 of the game’s original 36 second prizes, each worth $1 million.
The Monopoly Millionaire game, which was released along with other Monopoly-themed games in summer 2013, has eight of the original 14 top prizes yet to be claimed. Each top prize is worth $1 million.
