June 6, 2012 – The Ohio Lottery announced yesterday that it was teaming up with the Pro Football Hall of Fame to release a new scratch-off ticket celebrating the Hall of Fame’s 50th anniversary.
And with a special second chance promotion, the two are offering four chances at an all-expenses-paid five-day trip to New York for Super Bowl XLVIII, the first Super Bowl to be held in outdoor and in cold weather.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame ticket is a $5 scratch-off that gives players the chance to win up to $100,000. Sales for the ticket will start tomorrow – Friday, June 7.
The trip to New York for Super Bowl XLVIII can’t be scratched and won, however. Non-winning tickets must be entered online for one of five second chance drawings.
Four winners will be drawn for the five day trip to the 2014 Super Bowl, and will win cash and some other great prizes.
They’ll get $1,000 in spending money, two passes to a Hall of Fame luncheon with Emmitt Smith, two passes to the Hall of Fame Selection show, an NFL experience, and of course, two tickets to the Super Bowl.
The Ohio Lottery will be joined by former Cleveland Browns and Hall of Famers Joe DeLamielleure and Paul Warfield, along with 2013 Hall of Fame honoree Dave Robinson, an Ohio native, for a special kick-off event.
The Lottery and the Hall of Famers will be on the Slush Stage at ThistleDown Racino in North Randall from 5 to 7pm.
Fans and players can meet the football greats, snap souvenir photos, and participate in a Q&A with the players, and can enter scratch-off tickets they buy at the event into a special drawing for attendees.
