Oct. 10, 2013 – The Powerball jackpot survived another mid-week drawing Wednesday night, rolling over from $108 million to sit at $133 million ahead of Saturday’s drawing.
The elusive six numbers drawn Wednesday were 3, 9, 19, 33, 38, and the red Powerball was 18.
While nobody was able to match all six, there were seven players around the U.S. who matched the first five numbers but not the red Powerball.
From Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Virginia, all seven winners can claim $1 million prizes for matching five out of six numbers.
None of the seven Match 5 winners chose to add the PowerPlay option to their tickets, which for an extra $1 would have doubled their second-tier prizes to $2 million.
Three third-prize winners did add PowerPlay to their tickets, which at the third prize level turns a normal $10,000 prize into a powered-up $40,000 prize.
Along with those 3 PowerPlay winners, 46 other tickets matched four of the five white balls and the red Powerball, making 46 more ticket-holders $10,000 richer.
The total payout Wednesday night was more than $11.5 million across a total of 538,445 tickets.
Saturday’s drawing for an estimated $133 million jackpot will be held at 10:59 p.m. You can catch every drawing live on your smartphone with the free LotteryHUB mobile app for Android, iOS, or Windows, and don’t forget to pick up your Powerball tickets before sales end Wednesday night.
