New Winter Holiday Games Offer Hot Prizes

Oct. 11, 2013 – The Rhode Island Lottery Tuesday released its new line of winter and holiday-themed scratch-off games for players, offering top prizes ranging from $250 all the way to $75,000.

The least expensive new game is the $1 Holiday Cash ticket, which could hide up to $250 behind its mistletoe and floating-money design.  There are 10 ways to win the Holiday Cash game, and the overall odds for the $1 ticket are just over 1 in 4.

Got an extra buck?  You might want to spend $2 on Holiday Cheer, which offers about 1 in 4.6 odds of winning any prizes, and features a top prize worth $10,000 – that would make for a great holiday season.

The Lottery knew that along with the already-successful Ice Chest instant game and second-chance promotion – which will run through March – players would be looking for more holiday second-chances.  So, they kicked off the Winter Winfall second chance promotion, which lasts through Jan. 29, 2014.

Winter Winfall is a $5 scratch-off game with great odds, just 1 in 3.25, of winning any of the game’s eight prizes.  The top prize for Winter Winfall is a whopping $35,000 (enough for about 10,000 hot chocolates from Starbucks, which should keep you warm for winter).

Players who don’t win instantly the first time around can enter their non-winning Winter Winfall tickets into the second chance drawing by logging into the Rhode Island Lottery’s VIP Club.

Don’t have an account?  Don’t worry – the VIP Club is totally free to sign up for, and you’ll get an extra chance to win with some of your favorite games – just like this recent big winner.

Finally, the Lottery’s new $10 offering, Trim the Tree, is a festive-looking ticket with nine ways to win instant cash.  The game offers odds of about one in 3.5, and boasts a top prize of $75,000 for Rhode Island Lottery fans.

There’s so many new ways to win with the Rhode Island Lottery’s holiday and winter-themed games, it’s hard to believe it’s still fall.  But all those cash prizes will take time to win, and need players to win them.

Good luck, and happy holidays!
