Montana Millionaire Winner Still a Mystery

Jan. 8, 2014 – A full week has gone by since the Montana Lottery announced the winning raffle numbers chosen in the Montana Millionaire drawing, and there is no sign of Montana’s newest millionaire.

The Lottery announced New Year’s Eve that the winning ticket was sold at Mike’s Conoco in Columbia Falls, but, according to local news outlet KTVQ, neither the lottery or Mike’s Conoco has been contacted by the big winner.

The winner has six months to collect his or her $1 million prize.  The winning raffle number was 090907.

Along with the $1 million top prize, this year’s Montana Millionaire also awarded five runner-up prizes, two of which have already been claimed.

One of two winners of a $100,000 second prize, Helen Wortham from Billings, claimed her prize last Thursday.  Helen, her son Sheldon and a family friend in Tennessee split the cost of tickets and will split the winnings evenly as well.

As an added bonus, the trio even scored one of the $500 instant prizes available with this year’s Montana Millionaire tickets.

One out of three $10,000 winners has also claimed his prize.  Helena resident Thomas Judge bought his $10,000 winning ticket at a 3G’s convenience store in Billings, and collected his prize Tuesday.

Four prizes – the $1 million grand prize, a $100,000 second prize, and two $10,000 prizes – have yet to be claimed.  To see the winning raffle numbers and the retail locations where each ticket was sold, check the Montana Lottery’s Montana Millionaire winning numbers page.
