Modest spending for a Georgia lottery winner
One man in Jesup, GA won $100,000 from a scratch off and intends to stay humble with his winnings.
Leland Smith, a 79 year old occasional lottery player from Jesup, says he and his wife almost had a fit when they realized he had won.
Smith had bought a Georga Lottery Monopoly Millionaire game, and scratched away to the grand prize of $100,000.
Smith says his family has given him a lot of ideas for how to spend his money. For now, Smith plans to buy a new lawnmower, a new car, and try to pay off his bills.
