Nov. 6, 2013 – The Mega Millions numbers drawn Tuesday were not matched by any of the tickets sold, so the jackpot prize rolled over from $99 million to sit at $115 million ahead of Friday’s drawing.
The five white balls drawn Tuesday were 2, 11, 42, 64 and 74. The Mega Ball was 2, and the Megaplier number drawn was 5x.
Just one ticket, sold in California, was able to match all five white balls to win Mega Millions’ new $1 million second prize.
Because California plays lottery games on a pari-mutuel basis, prize payouts depend on the number of people betting and can vary. The California winner from Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing will receive a second-tier prize worth $410,115.
An incredible 35 people matched four white balls and the Mega Ball for third prizes Tuesday, and 3 of those winners chose to add the Megaplier option to their tickets. For just an extra $1, those 3 lucky winners have secured $25,000 third prizes, thanks to the 5x Megaplier.
While nobody was able to take home the $99 million jackpot Tuesday, more than 1.3 million players won one of the game’s prizes. Altogether, those winning tickets are worth $4,367,929.
The next drawing, featuring a $115 million estimated jackpot with a $63 million cash option, will be held Friday at 11 p.m. ET.
