Sept. 25, 2013 – Last night’s Mega Millions drawing did not produce any jackpot winners, and the jackpot grew by an estimated $13 million as it rolled over for the seventeenth time in a row.
The numbers for last night’s drawing were 4, 11, 32, 39, 40, and the Mega Ball was 33. The Megaplier drawn for last night was 3, which means anyone who added the Megaplier option to their winning ticket for an extra $1 will win three times the normal prize amount.
While nobody was able to match all six of those numbers six lucky Mega Millions players did manage to match all five of the white balls drawn.
Those tickets were sold in California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New York, and Virginia. Only the Match 5 winner in Maryland added the Megaplier option to their ticket for an extra $1, so they’ll collect $1 million on their second-tier prize, which is normally worth $250,000.
Because California’s Lottery awards prizes based on a pari-mutuel system, the Megaplier option is not available for California Mega Millions players. However, that means a big win for yesterday’s Match 5 winner from California, whose pari-mutuel second-tier prize is worth $713,203.
The next drawing will be held Friday night at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time, so be sure to buy your tickets for a shot at the huge $173 million jackpot.
