Nov. 20, 2013 – Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing did not make any mega millionaires – the jackpot went unclaimed, and rolled over to sit at $181 million, with a cash value of $98 million, ahead of the drawing Friday night.
The numbers drawn Tuesday were 14, 15, 29, 49, 63 and the Mega Ball was 2. The Megaplier drawn Tuesday was 3x, so winners who added the Megaplier option will receive three times the normal value of their prize.
The jackpot has grown by nearly $20 million in each of the last few drawings, so, depending on ticket sales, the jackpot could reach $200 million if it rolls over again Friday night.
Although nobody won the jackpot Tuesday, there were two big winners who became millionaires overnight. Two tickets, sold in Georgia and Massachusetts, matched all five of the white balls drawn Tuesday to win Mega Millions’ $1 million second prize.
Neither of those players chose to add the Megaplier option to their tickets for an extra $1. Three out of a total of 36 third-prize winners did, however, and their extra $1 bought them $15,000 third prizes, rather than the normal $5,000.
Overall, more than 1.7 million tickets matched winning combinations of numbers to secure almost $5.7 million in prize money.
