March 12, 2014 – No Mega Millions players were able to match all six winning numbers from Tuesday night’s drawing, so the jackpot rolled over again, growing to an estimated $353 million ahead of Friday’s draw.
The winning numbers Tuesday night were 9, 14, 56, 57, 69 and the Mega Ball was 10. Tuesday’s Megaplier multiplier was 4x, so players with winning tickets who had added the Megaplier option will receive four times the normal prize value.
Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday night there were two new millionaires made. Two Mega Millions players in Texas and Washington matched all five white numbers drawn to win Mega Millions’ $1 million second prize.
There were 77 other winners who matched five of six numbers – four white numbers and the Mega Ball – Tuesday night. Seven of those third prize winners added Megaplier to their tickets and will receive $20,000 third prizes,
The remaining 70 winners will receive Mega Millions normal $5,000 third prize.
Overall there were more than 4.1 million winners made Tuesday night, together winning just under $11 million in prize money. Of the more than 4.1 million winners, about 350,000 added the Megaplier option to their ticket; Megaplier winners won more than $2.4 million Tuesday.
Unless strong ticket sales continue to drive the jackpot higher, Friday night’s drawing will feature the estimated $353 million annuity jackpot, which carries a cash value of about $194 million.
The drawing will be held at 11 p.m. To find out how late you can buy a ticket before the drawing Friday night, read this post.
