Mega Millions heading to Florida
The Multi-state Lottery Mega Millions will be moving to Florida for its debut on May 15.
Mega Millions gives lottery players the chance to win multi-million-dollar jackpots. The jackpots start at $12 million, and go up each time the jackpot goes unclaimed. The current Mega Millions jackpot is set for $154 million. The next drawing is tonight at 11:00pm EST.
Florida will be the 43rd state to offer Mega Millions. The multi-state game is also available in the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
This year, the Florida Lottery is celebrating 25 years in the state of Florida. The Florida Lottery benefits public education in the state of Florida. The Florida Lottery Commission believes that Mega Millions will bring more revenue for the state to benefit from.
Tickets for Mega Millions are $1 and drawings are held every Tuesday and Wednesday at 11:00pm EST.
