Last Call for Christmas Carols

Dec. 16, 2013 – One winner has already been named in the D.C. Lottery’s special “Carol for Cash” holiday promotion.  That lucky caroler, TA Lovinme on Facebook, scored a $1,000 prize for having the best-liked song among the Lottery’s Facebook fans.

If you think you’ve got the voice of a superstar – or at least the most holiday spirit – you’ve got until Friday to enter into the running for this week’s “Carol for Cash”.

The first thing you’ll need to do is learn the words.  The D.C. Lottery has their own holiday carol they’re using for the contest, which you can find on their YouTube page .

Then, record a video of yourself singing the Lottery’s carol.  Don’t be camera-shy, you’ll need to upload the video to the D.C. Lottery’s Facebook page after that to be judged by all of their fans.

You’ll also need to “like” the D.C. Lottery on Facebook to be considered for entry.  Once you’ve uploaded your video, the caroler with the most “likes” on their video will be announced as the winner.

The contest began at 9 a.m. today, and will run through 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20.  The Lottery will announce the contest winner by 4:30 Friday afternoon, and once the winner responds to the Lottery with some information, their $1,000 prize will be sent through the mail within two weeks.

Get in the spirit, get out your camera, and good luck!  You can’t win if you don’t sing!
