The Kentucky Lottery is making it easier to win on the go with the launch of Keno games this November.
In an attempt to raise revenue provided for college scholarships, the Kentucky Lottery is going to begin offering Keno games in November 2013.
Keno games are available at lottery retailers. Players buy tickets and can either watch the live drawings at the retailer or on the lottery website. Players choose to wager amounts ranging from $1 to $20. They then 1 to 10 numbers from a pool of 80. Players can play multiple times on one play card if they choose. Keno games are usually drawn every few minutes, allowing for more ways to win without the wait.
President of the Kentucky Lottery, Arch Gleason believes the new game offering could generate up to $30 million per year, including $8 to $9 million in this current fiscal year. The Lottery board unanimously agreed to add Keno games in March, following the belief that they will raise much needed revenue.
