Jan. 21, 2014 – Someone out there is a millionaire and may not even know it; if they do know, the lucky Powerball winner has sure waited a long time to claim their $1 million prize.
Almost a full year ago, somewhere in Southwestern Kansas, a Powerball ticket was purchased matching all five white numbers from the Jan. 26, 2013 drawing. That drawing featured an estimated $132 million jackpot, though nobody matched all six numbers that night.
The winning numbers were 3, 22, 26, 41, 49 and the red Powerball was 18.
Along with the $1 million winner in Kansas, five other winners scored Powerball’s $1 million second prize that night.
The Kansas Lottery has been urging players to check any Powerball tickets they may have from the past year.
Though they cannot say exactly where the winning ticket was sold, the Lottery has posted on their website that the retail location which sold the ticket is located somewhere within the southwestern corner of the state.
There are a total of 24 counties in the area. A complete list of these counties – where the $1 million ticket was sold – can be found on the Kansas Lottery’s website.
