Dec. 9, 2013 – Since early November, the Massachusetts Lottery has been handing out “holiday bonuses” to lucky players who picked up their Super 50/50 Raffle tickets early.
Twenty-five winners have already been awarded the $2,000 Holiday Bonus prizes with plenty of time left for holiday shopping. Now, with just over a month left for Mass. Lottery players to get in on the action, only 15 of the Lottery’s Holiday Bonus prizes remain
For those players who haven’t gotten in on the game just yet, the Holiday Bonus drawings are held every Wednesday, through Christmas Day.
That’s right, for the serious last-minute shopper, the Lottery will be awarding the final five of these $2,000 prizes on Christmas Day, which is sure to make the holiday a little sweeter for five lucky winners.
All of the Holiday Bonus winners are still eligible to win the jackpot on the Mass. Lottery’s Super 50/50 Raffle. The final drawing will decide the winner of half the money brought in through ticket sales (hence the 50/50 Raffle).
Each ticket costs $10, and have been on sale since October 1. In that time, nearly $400,000 worth of tickets have been sold, so the jackpot prize is worth more than $194,000 as of today. (Keep track of the jackpot amount here).
That number is sure to go up as the Jan. 1 drawing approaches, though, so be sure to get your tickets early. If you act now, you’ll still have three chances left to win an extra $2,000 through the Holiday Bonus drawings.
Why not increase your chances a bit? You can’t win if you don’t play.
