Iowa Lottery Winners Help Build New High School Football Stadium

Thanks to funds provided by recent Iowa Lottery winners, the Bondurant-Farrar School District is able to begin construction on a new high school football stadium.

Brian and Mary Lohse recently won $202 million from the Iowa Lottery in 2012 after hitting the jackpot for the Powerball drawing in Sept 2012. The couple lives in Bondurant and wanted to help their school district after the district was moved from a 2A school to a 3A.

The Lohse family donated a total of $3 million to help expedite the construction of the sports complex, which will feature a football field, 8-lane track, seating for 2,000 patrons, and state-of-the-art equipment for the three-year-old high school.

The new sports complex is expected to be completed by the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year.
