Jackpot Rolls Over:
Jan. 7, 2015 – Nobody was able to match all six numbers in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, so the jackpot prize rolled over again, reaching the unbelievable amount of $675 million for Saturday night’s drawing. That’s more than half a billion folks!!!
The winning Powerball numbers were 2, 11, 47, 62, 63 and the Powerball was 17. The Power Play Multiplier drawn Wednesday was 3x, so winning tickets with the Power Play option added are worth three times their normal prize value.
While nobody was able to win the jackpot, there were several tickets sold California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Washington that matched all five white numbers for a million dollars each Wednesday night.
One hundred and forty-seven players matched four of the white balls and the Powerball to win third prizes Wednesday night, and twenty-four of those players won with Power Play. The Powerplayer will receive a $30,000 prize while the other thirty-one third prizewinners will receive the normal $10,000 prize.
Overall, more than 7.1 million Powerball players became winners Wednesday night, scoring more than $65 million in prize money.
The next drawing will be held Saturday night at 11 p.m., and the estimated $675 million annuity jackpot carries with it a $413 million cash value.
