March 25, 2014 – After almost 10 years, the Hoosier Millionaire television show will return to Indiana airwaves this Thursday, March 27. Six players will compete for a spot on the 25th Anniversary episode of the game show.
Five of the six contestants have already been chosen through a special second-chance promotion that coincides with the Hoosier Lottery’s Hoosier Millionaire scratch-off game.
The instant ticket itself offers players a chance to win as much as $75,000, and non-winning scratch-offs can be entered into the second chance promotion that chooses contestants.
In all, there will be 25 winners selected through the second chance drawings, including the five who will compete Thursday.
A sixth contestant will also compete Thursday; one lucky member of the live audience at each of the five preliminary game shows will be selected to compete alongside the five second chance winners.
To be chosen as the sixth contestant, audience members hoping to become contestants need to drop a non-winning Hoosier Millionaire ticket, with their information on the back, into a barrel at least 20 minutes before the show begins.
Second chance winners will each receive $500 cash, but only five of the lucky winners – and one of the five audience members chosen to compete – will get a shot at the Hoosier Millionaire top prize – $1 million.
There is still time to enter non-winning tickets into the second chance promotion. Contestants have been chosen for the first two preliminary game shows, meaning there are still 15 spots left.
To enter, players must log in or register for the Hoosier Lottery’s mylottery players club and enter the codes from non-winning tickets.
