Hoosier Millionaire Could Put You On TV

Jan. 7, 2014 – Have you always dreamed of hearing your name followed by “come on down!” on The Price is Right?  Do you think you’d wipe the floor with other Jeopardy players if you only had the chance?  Well, now could be the time your dreams of the small screen come true.

The Hoosier Lottery released its new 25th Anniversary edition Hoosier Millionaire scratch-off Tuesday, announcing that through a special second-chance promotion, players could win their way onto a Hoosier Lottery game show to compete for $1 million.

The new ticket itself costs just $5, and offers players a chance to win up to $75,000 instantly.  There are thousands of other cash prizes to be won on the instant game, which offers odds of about 1 in 4 overall.

There are nine of the $75,000 top prizes up for grabs with the instant game, and through the Hoosier Millionaire second chance promotion, another $75,000 prize and 30 prizes worth $500 will be awarded as runner-up prizes.

The real jackpot is the $1 million prize that one lucky game-show contestant will win during the Hoosier Millionaire finale, which will be televised from the State Fair.

The Lottery will hold five regional “Road Show” events leading up to the State Fair finale, and six players will compete in each of these Road Show events.  Five contestants will be chosen by a special drawing through the Lottery’s mylottery player rewards program, and each winner will also receive $500.

The sixth contestant for each of the Hoosier Millionaire game shows will actually be picked out of the audience on-site (‘come on dowwwnn!).

To be chosen from the audience to compete, potential contestants need to drop a non-winning Hoosier Millionaire ticket with their information on the back into a barrel at least 20 minutes before the show starts.

Once all the regional game shows have been held, a winner decided by each, the grand finale and the Indiana State Fair will determine the winner of the big Millionaire Prize.  For just $5, players could win instant cash, or a chance to battle their way to the top of the Hoosier Millionaire Game Show.
