July 25, 2013 – Now that the Hoosier Lottery is coming back on the air with FOX59, they’re looking for a TV personality that can call out the numbers and make dreams come true with the Lottery’s Daily 3 and Daily 4 games.
Think you’ve got what it takes to be live on the air every day of the week? The Hoosier Lottery is accepting auditions for the “Hometown Host Contest” until August 2. You can learn how to audition here.
Vice President of marketing for the Lottery, Jessica Powell, told FOX59 that “the Hometown Host Contest is a great way for budding celebrities or adult journalism students to represent a Hoosier institution and gain great experience.”
Executive Director of the Indiana State Lottery Commission Karl Browning said the decision to bring the Daily 3 and Daily 4 games back on the air was the people’s choice, something “Hoosiers and Hoosier retailers…overwhelmingly said they want.”
Since it was Hoosiers who wanted the games back on live TV, choosing the Hometown Host will be up to the people in the end.
Once all the audition tapes come into the Lottery, they’ll choose the top 20 contestants and put it to a vote on hoosierlottery.com and FOX59.com.
Then, the top five finalists will have to strut their stuff in front of a live audience at the Indiana State Fair, where local celebrity judges will judge their performances, and the new Hometown Host will be chosen.
