July 30, 2014 – The Wisconsin Lottery and the Green Bay Packers have teamed up for the fifth time to offer lottery players and cheeseheads across the state a Green Bay Packers-themed family of scratch-off tickets.
This year’s games will be sold at three different prices: $1, $3 and $5. The $5 ticket, called “Champions Club,” offers players a top prize worth $45,000.
The new “Green Bay Packers” scratch-off costs $3 and offers a $30,000 top prize, and the new $1 ticket is called “Go Packers!” and players can win up to $700.
All three of the new scratch-offs are eligible for entry into a second chance “bonus drawing” that Packers fans are sure to be excited about. In one bonus drawing next year, one lucky winner will score a season ticket package with seats in the Champions Club at Lambeau Field.
The grand prize season ticket package also includes parking passes, two pre-game sideline passes for the Packers’ games against Minnesota and Chicago, and all the incredible amenities of the Champions Club (like free food and drinks!).
Another 195 Wisconsin Lottery players will win prizes in the second chance drawing for the new Packers-themed games. 95 winners will receive MVP Tailgate Party prize packages, which include pre-game passes, tickets to the Festival Foods MVP Deck or the Miller Lite Lounge, a $50 gift card and a helmet autographed by a current Packers player.
Finally, 100 more winners will each win $500 gift cards to use in the Green Bay Packers Pro Shop, or online at PackersProShop.com.
In a press conference Monday, Packers President and CEO Mike Murphy said “We’re happy to be working with the Wisconsin Lottery for a fifth season of games.”
“It’s great to see our fans win season tickets, and we’re excited that in 2015 our grand prize winner will be able to experience gameday in the Champions Club and have an opportunity to spend time on the sidelines as we prepare to face two of our biggest rivals,” Murphy said.
Not surprisingly, Packers-themed tickets have proven popular with Wisconsin players in years past. “Once we say ‘Packers scratch tickets,’ the blitz is on,” said Mike Edmonds, director of the Wisconsin Lottery.
Edmonds said that more retailers than ever before were carrying the tickets this year, so players in Wisconsin shouldn’t have too much trouble finding them.
The grand prize drawing isn’t until March 2015, but you’ll need $5 worth of non-winning Packers scratch-offs to enter the contest, so don’t wait too long. Remember, there are great cash prizes to be won on the new games, and a lot of that cash will be won before March 2015.
