Georgia Waitress Wins $1 Million
June 13, 2013 – After a “really bad day,” Georgia waitress Diana Quiroz-Morales stopped at a Chevron station and bought a $10 scratch-off ticket that definitely changed the way her day was going – she won $1,000,000!
“It definitely changed my life in a split second,” said Quiroz-Morales when she claimed her prize yesterday. She won her million dollars on the $1,000,000 Benjamins scratch-off game.
The overall odds of the Benjamins game are 1 in 3.33.
“I never thought it would happen to me. I was in shock, and my daughter was hysterical,” she said.
Quiroz-Morales told the Georgia Lottery that she plans to buy a new car and a new home, where she’ll live with her daughters and her grandchildren.
She said that she’ll give some of the money to her children, but plans to invest whatever is left over.
