First Cash4Life Winner in New Jersey

Nov 14, 14 First Cash4Life Winner in New Jersey

Nov. 14, 2014 – After five months without a top-prize winner, New Jersey finally has a $1,000-a-day for life winner with the popular Cash4Life game.

The new draw game debuted June 16 in New Jersey and New York.  Since that time, five New York players have matched all six winning numbers to win the game’s top prize, worth $1,000 each day for life – or $365,000 each year.

The New Jersey Lottery has not yet announced where the winning ticket was sold.  The big winner matched all six numbers in the Nov. 13 drawing: 7, 8, 16, 49, 56 and the Cash Ball, 4.

While this marks the first time that a New Jersey has player won the top prize, the state hasn’t been without its big winners; three New Jersey lottery players have won Cash4Life’s second prize, worth $1,000 each week for life.

Despite the lucky streak of top-prize winners this summer, New York has also had just three second-prize winners.

Thursday’s lucky winner is the first top-prize winner in either state since July 31.  When they come forward to claim their prize, they’ll have a choice between the $1,000 per-day, for-life prize – which has a minimum payout period of 20 years – or a lump-sum cash option worth $7 million before taxes.
