Dec. 2, 2013 – Today is the final day for Pennsylvania Lottery players to enter non-winning holiday scratch-off tickets into the Early Bird drawing for the Lottery’s $100,000 Jolly Jackpot second-chance contest.
Any of the Lottery’s six holiday-themed scratch-offs are eligible for the second-chance promotion. Players with non-winning holiday tickets just need to log into the Lottery’s VIP Player’s Club and enter the codes found on non-winning tickets.
Signing up for the VIP Player’s Club is free and simple, players just need to provide contact information and proof that they live in Pennsylvania.
The $100,000 Jolly Jackpot will be giving away $200,000 this holiday season. The Early Bird drawing, which will be held this week, will split $100,000 in prize money between ten lucky winners.
The entry period for this week’s Early Bird drawing closes at 11:59 p.m., just before the calendar changes. According to the Jolly Jackpot website, winners will be announced by Dec. 7.
Players who enter their non-winning holiday tickets in time for the Early Bird drawing will also be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. The price of a ticket entered into the contest determines how many entries the player receives for that ticket (i.e. $10 equals 10 entries).
The Grand Prize drawing won’t take place until the first week of January, so players who miss the entry period for the Early Bird drawing still have a chance to get in on the action; the entry period for the Grand prize drawing closes Jan. 2.
