Delaware Lottery posts regulations for online gambling

The Delaware Lottery and the state if Delaware recently signed to allow for online gambling in the state. The Delaware Lottery offices released their regulations today in an effort to help people know what they can and cannot do.

Delaware has become the third state to allow for online gambling. Following in the footsteps of New Jersey and Nevada, Delaware hopes to increase revenue for the state through its newly established online gambling system. The Delaware Lottery online gambling system will be operated by London company, 888 Hastings.

Online gambling was proposed to Delaware in January 2013. Voting for the addendum took place in March, and online games were approved to begin, with regulations to keep people from getting a gambling addiction as well as to ensure that all players are 18 years or older and legally able to play the Delaware Lottery games.

The regulations were released this week, and the online gambling system is set to premiere in September 2013.

The Delaware Lottery was established in 1974, and proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Delaware General Fund. The Delaware Lottery provides games including Powerball, Mega Millions, Sports Lottery, Scratch-off games, and more! Delaware is one of the few state lotteries that allows winners to remain completely anonymous. For more information, check out the Delaware Lottery website.
